Your available options in hardwood flooring

Did you know that even after making the decision for hardwood flooring, that you still have a variety of options available? One option is to choose a solid variety or engineered wood flooring. Both are considered real wood flooring, but engineered flooring offers only a veneer of wood between a backing layer and a protective layer. Both are gorgeous, timeless, and durable, and both offer the opportunity to refinish your flooring after wear and tear starts to show through. Either is an excellent choice, but the solid variety gives you the longest lifespan and the most durability.

America's Finest Carpet offers extensive floor coverings and services, and we’ll provide free measurements and estimates so you know exactly what you’re getting into before you start. Our professional installation team will do a great job of pulling everything together, and after that, we’re available for professional cleaning and maintenance services to keep your floors looking newer longer. We currently serve the communities of San Marcos, Vista, Escondido, Oceanside, Carlsbad, Chula Vista, National City, Paradise Sails, Imperial Beach, San Diego, Coronado, Claremont, Poway, and Temecula. We have five showroom locations for your convenience as well. Visit us in Chula Vista, San Diego, San Marcos, Temecula, and Cardiff-by-the-Sea, CA.

Hardwood meets nearly every need

Available in many different wood species, including both exotic and domestic varieties, you’ll find some to be much harder than others. The busier your household, the harder the species you’ll have to choose to reap all the benefits available in this material. Softer species are fine for areas such as walk-in closets and pantries. Your flooring associate will be able to help you figure out which one best meets your own needs.

Hardwood flooring is one of the best long-term investments you can put into your home. In addition to offering a lifespan that averages 100 years with proper care and maintenance, you’ll find a payoff even if you’re selling your home. Homeowners know how valuable these floors are, and they’re willing to pay extra for it. So you’ll actually see a higher final sale price with hardwood flooring in place.

You should know, before determining this to be your flooring of choice, that it can never be installed below grade. It must also be allowed to acclimate for at least 24 hours and possibly up 72 hours, depending on the moisture content in your own home.
